Dipl.-Vw. Dr. Ina Meyer

  • Ina Meyer is senior economist in the WIFO research group "Climate, Environmental and Resource Economics" since 2006. Ina's research focuses on climate change mitigation, adaptation, circular economy, and sustainability. One focus of her work is on energy economic scenario analysis, considering interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research approaches. She compiles studies and publications on behalf of different funding agencies such as the Climate and Energy Fund, the Jubilee Fund of the Austrian National Bank, the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Climate or Economics, among others. Ina was a project partner in the compilation of the Austrian energy scenarios, a board member of the Climate Change Centre Austria (CCCA, 3/2019 to 4/2020), and is a member of the program committee of the Austrian Climate Day since 2022. Ina studied economics at the Free University of Berlin, was a scholarship holder of the European Commission (DG ECFIN), a research assistant at the Technical University of Berlin and a PhD student at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. She received her PhD from the University of Potsdam on the topic of climate change and car use. Research stays took her to the University of Greifswald and the Humboldt University of Berlin.
