Mag. Julia Bock-Schappelwein

Julia Bock-Schappelwein studied Economics at the University of Vienna. She is Senior Economist at WIFO and has been working in the WIFO Research Group "Labour Economics, Income and Social Security" since 2004. Her areas of expertise include labour market, education and migration-specific issues, in particular the education and training system and the labour market, structural aspects of employment and the analysis of the labour market situation of foreign workers in Austria. She is currently working on gender-specific issues as well as digitisation and green jobs. She is involved in the preparation of the WIFO short and medium-term forecast and national expert in the Skillsnet network of Cedefop and works for the "Mutual Learning Programme" of the European Commission, DG EMPL. Julia Bock-Schappelwein has published numerous WIFO studies and in internationally peer-reviewed journals.
