Die Hochschätzung anhand der Angaben der im WIFO-Investitionstest erfassten Unternehmen ergibt für 2019 insgesamt eine Expansion
der Investitionen um 5,0% gegenüber 2018. Kleine und mittelgroße Betriebe weiten ihre Investitionen dabei stärker aus als
Großunternehmen. Insbesondere die Hersteller von langlebigen Konsumgütern und Vorprodukten planen heuer Investitionssteigerungen.
Die Investitionen der Hersteller von kurzlebigen Konsumgütern und Kraftfahrzeugen werden voraussichtlich sinken. Für Österreichs
Gesamtwirtschaft rechnet das WIFO 2019 mit einem Anstieg der Bruttoanlageinvestitionen um real 2,4%.

Investment is Expected to Increase in Manufacturing in 2019. Results of the WIFO Spring 2019 Investment Survey
Estimates based on the data of the WIFO Investment Survey show an overall expansion of investment by 5.0 percent in 2019 compared
to 2018. Small and medium-sized enterprises raise their investments more strongly than large enterprises. Particularly manufacturers
of durable consumer goods and intermediates will increase their investments this year. Investments by manufacturers of non-durable
consumer goods and motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers are projected to decline. For Austria's economy as a whole,
WIFO forecasts an increase in gross fixed capital formation of 2.4 percent in real terms in 2019.
