Stefan Ederer is Senior Economist at WIFO and has been working in the Research Group "Macroeconomics and European Economic
Policy" since 2007. He is also a Research Associate at the Department of Socioeconomics of the Vienna University of Economics
and Business. His activities include the analysis and forecasting of Austrian and international economic developments, macroeconomic
modelling and the impact of economic policy. He was research coordinator (2011-2013), deputy coordinator of the FP7-EU project
WWWforEurope (2012-2014) and contributed to the Joint Economic Forecast of Germany (2013-2017). Stefan Ederer prepared numerous
studies for international and national clients. He holds a doctoral degree in Economics from the WU Vienna and a MSc in Industrial
Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from the Graz University of Technology. He was a guest researcher at the Universities
of Cambridge and Leeds (UK) and lectures at the WU Vienna and the University of Vienna. Scientific work has been published
in Cambridge Journal of Economics, Structural Change and Economic Dynamics, Review of Keynesian Economics, Empirica – Journal
of European Economics and International Review of Applied Economics.
