Das reale Bruttoinlandsprodukt Österreichs wuchs im III. Quartal 2017 so stark wie zuletzt vor sieben Jahren. Der Aufschwung
wird von einer hohen Investitionstätigkeit und einer kräftigen Exportnachfrage getragen, doch auch die Konsumausgaben entwickeln
sich robust. Sektoral wie regional steht der Aufschwung auf einer breiten Basis. Regionale Muster sind anhand aktueller Konjunkturindikatoren
kaum noch zu erkennen. Einzig in der Arbeitslosenquote bleibt das West-Ost-Gefälle der Entwicklung der letzten Jahre noch
sichtbar.

Growth in Austrian real GDP during the 3rd quarter of 2017 marked the strongest growth rate in seven years. This upturn was
fuelled by high investment activities and strong export demand, but also consumption levels saw robust gains. From a sectoral
as well as a regional perspective the upturn is based on a solid foundation. Current business cycle indicators hardly reveal
any regional patterns. Only the unemployment rate still shows the west-east gradient prevailing in the developments over the
last few years.
