Der vorliegende Bericht gibt einen synthetischen Überblick über die aktuelle wirtschaftliche und soziale Lage in Österreich.
Österreich weist demnach im EU-Vergleich eine günstige Ausgangsposition auf, ist aber mit erheblichen Herausforderungen für
die Zukunft konfrontiert. Der Bericht beschreibt darüber hinaus das österreichische Modell der industriellen Arbeitsbeziehungen
und zeigt, dass die Entwicklungen seit Ausbruch der Wirtschaftskrise 2008/09 vor dem Hintergrund der Sonderrolle der Sozialpartnerschaft
erklärt werden müssen.

The Economic and Social Situation in Austria
The present study gives a synthetic overview of the Austrian socioeconomic system and its recent performance. It shows that
– in comparison with the other EU countries – Austria enjoys a very favourable socioeconomic position, but also that the country
is confronted with considerable challenges for the future. In a further step, the study describes the Austrian model of industrial
relations and social partnership, highlighting the crucial role the social partnership played in the developments since the
onset of the economic crisis in 2008-09.
