Demand and output in Austria edged down in the fourth quarter of 2012. The setback to growth was mainly attributable to the
weak global economy and the associated decline in international capital and trade flows. At the beginning of 2013, global
economic activity picked up again. Apart from the USA, the emerging market economies are the main drivers of this stabilisation.
Im IV. Quartal 2012 ging die heimische Wirtschaftsleistung leicht zurück. Die Wachstumsdämpfung ist vor allem auf die Schwäche
der Weltwirtschaft und die damit verbundene Verringerung der internationalen Kapital- und Handelsströme zurückzuführen. Anfang
2013 zog die Weltkonjunktur wieder leicht an. Neben den USA wird diese Stabilisierung in erster Linie von den Schwellenländern
getragen.
