Daughters' Day at WIFO
From Sparkling Questions to Sustainable Answers: The Global Consequences of the Ban on Microplastics in Glitter-Make-up
On 25 April 2024, Vienna Daughters' Day is going to take place for the 23rd time. WIFO will also be taking part again in 2024. The target group are girls aged 14 and above who are interested in the working field of economic research.
We want to consider the "entire life" of a product - from production to disposal. Glitter make-up must not contain any tiny plastic particles ("microplastics"). This is important for the environment. But sometimes environmental and social standards are not good at the same time. When it comes to sustainability, this can complicate things. We slip into the roles of producers, retailers and consumers and consider how decisions are made.
