Margit Schratzenstaller Becomes ÖGfE Board Member

New Function at the Austrian Society for European Politics
The General Assembly of the Austrian Society for European Politics (ÖGfE) appointed WIFO Economist Margit Schratzenstaller to the Board on 25 May 2020. ÖGfE aims to promote and support information activities on European affairs in Austria.

Based in Vienna, the Society is a non-governmental and non-partisan platform mainly constituted by the Austrian Social Partners. Together with Margit Schratzenstaller, Mario Holzner (wiiw), Katharina Moser (MOSAIK), Verena Ringler (European Commons), Helfried Carl (The Innovation in Politics Institute), Hans Dietmar Schweisgut (Austrian-French Centre for Rapprochement in Europe), Hannah Lessing (National Fund of the Republic of Austria for Victims of National Socialism) and Gregor Woschnagg (Ambassador retired) were newly elected to the board.

"Many of the great challenges of our time can only be met through enhanced European cooperation. ÖGfE offers a platform for the exchange and networking of European and Austrian actors striving for constructive European solutions. I look forward to helping shape this exchange in the future and to being able to benefit from it even more", said Schratzenstaller.
