Digital Press Conference on Economic Outlook

Livestream on 26 March 2020 at 10:30 a.m. – Press Questions Through Chat Feature
Due to the current emergency situation and the measures taken by the federal government in the fight against the coronavirus, WIFO will move the press conference on the economic outlook for 2020 and 2021 on Thursday, 26 March 2020 at 10:30 a.m. together with IHS to the APA press centre, limiting media participation.

Only the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) and the Austrian Press Agency (APA) will be allowed to participate on the premises. All other media representatives are not allowed to participate until further notice.

The Austria Press Agency will provide live streaming and audiovisual material. Press questions can be asked by using a chat feature. Further information will be communicated in due time.

In this approach, WIFO and IHS are following the measures of the Federal Press Service. In an open society, the freedom of science is inseparably linked to the freedom of the press. Restrictions on the personal access of media representatives are therefore not imposed lightly and will continue to be imposed only in absolutely exceptional situations.
