Philipp Warum, MSc

Philipp Warum has been working as an economist in the WIFO Research Group "Labour Economics, Income and Social Security" since April 2022, where he focuses on the topics of debt and private bankruptcy. In addition, his research is concerned with the relationship between perceptions of intergenerational income mobility and preferences for redistribution. He holds a master's degree in Economics from Vienna University of Economics and Business with a major in mathematics and a bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Economics from Maastricht University which he partially spent at University of California, Los Angeles. Before joining WIFO, Philipp has worked for the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs (BMEIA), Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB) and the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA).
