WIFO's Scientific Advisory Board Meeting 2024

WIFO's Scientific Advisory Board was reorganised in line with the Institute's new strategy for effective economic research. At its first meeting on 25 September 2024, Ingrid Kubin was elected chairperson and Peter Egger her deputy.

The objective of the Scientific Advisory Board is to advise WIFO and its Management Board on strategic issues and scientific discussions, to provide an external perspective and to support WIFO in establishing international cooperation.

All Research Groups participated in the meeting. Key questions of climate, environment, macro, industry, labour and regional economics were discussed.

The members of the Scientific Advisory Board are economists with outstanding expertise in empirical research on topics relevant to economic policy.
