Weak Economic Momentum in the Federal Provinces

The ongoing pressure on consumer prices continued to cool the economy in spring 2023. Despite regional heterogeneities, overall, the regional economic indicators reflected the stagnation of economic activity. The regional labour markets showed only moderate increases in employment, and unemployment figures developed less favourably than before.
