Austria's Economy Continued its Sluggish Growth Course in 2003
In an international perspective, the economy was set on a revival course in 2003. China reported continuous and brisk growth rates throughout the year, whereas the USA and Japan had to wait for the second half of the year to achieve a substantial boost of their dynamism. Real GDP in the OECD grew by 2.1 percent, compared to an increase of 1.9 percent during 2002.
