Michael Weingärtler

Michael Weingärtler has been working at the Austrian Institute of Economic Research (WIFO) since 1998. As a research assistant in the “Regional Economics and Spatial Analysis” research group, he focuses on the construction industry, where he is involved in numerous research projects (e.g. ongoing economic monitoring, housing policy and financing, innovation, sustainability and procurement). He is also closely associated with Euroconstruct, the leading European network for construction market forecasts. He heads up the network activities there and has been a strategy committee member for two decades. Likewise, he has many years of cross-thematic experience in national and international projects, specialising in project management, data preparation and analysis.
