Outlining Ways out of the COVID-19 Crisis

WIFO General Assembly on 4 June 2020
On the occasion of the General Assembly of the Austrian Institute of Economic Research on 4 June 2020, WIFO President Harald Mahrer and his Vice Presidents Renate Anderl and Ingrid Kubin underlined WIFO's key role in coping with socioeconomic challenges in Austria. Especially in the COVID-19 crisis, sound data and analysis were needed.

"It is our fundamental conviction that social differences and diverging interests can be bridged by constant and consensus-oriented cooperation and dialogue in the interest of the common good. WIFO's independent and professionally undisputed expertise guarantees that this struggle for economic policy decisions can be based on a common factual basis", the Executive Board stated in the joint foreword to the current WIFO Annual Report.
