Economic Assessments Begin to Stabilise at the Start of Summer

In July, the economic assessments of the companies surveyed stabilised. Economic sentiment brightened in all sectors, but remained predominantly sceptical in the manufacturing sector. Business uncertainty declined compared to the previous quarter, but remained elevated in manufacturing and construction, while capacity utilisation in these sectors improved slightly. Nevertheless, "insufficient demand" remained the most frequently cited obstacle to business activity in all sectors of the economy.
