The Economy in the Austrian Länder. 2nd Quarter 2019

After a particularly dynamic economy in previous years, according to current forecasts real gross domestic product grew at a slightly slower rate of +1.7 percent in 2019. This economic slowdown has particularly affected the production of material goods. However, based on current economic indicators regional patterns are hardly discernible. With a few exceptions, the decline in the number of unemployed in the second quarter of 2019 appears slightly more pronounced in the southern and western regions of Austria.
