The economic development in Austria in the fourth quarter of 2020 is predominantly determined by the COVID-19 pandemic, which is particularly evident in the sharp decline in over-night stays in the tourism sector. The situation on the domestic labour market thus remains tense. Regionally, all federal provinces recorded economic losses on a broad sectoral level.
