On the Environmental-economic Significance of the Waste and Resource Economy. Employment Effects of Residual Waste Treatment
The waste and resource economy contributes to the development of environmentally friendly economic activities by collecting, processing and recycling waste materials. As the analysis of the potential employment effects of different systems of further residual waste treatment shows, the demand for labour increases with the complexity of the treatment systems. Improving separate collection can stimulate the domestic economy by providing secondary resources and substituting primary resources with high import quotas.
