Economic Assessments Remain Weak

Despite slight improvements, sceptical economic assessments continued to predominate in October. Improvements were seen above all in expectations and by sector in the services and construction industries. Manufacturing companies are still particularly sceptical. In a quarter-on-quarter comparison, both capacity utilisation and uncertainty rose slightly in most sectors. "Insufficient demand" remained the most frequently cited obstacle to business activity.
