Evaluation of Publicly Financed Long-term Care on Healthcare Utilisation

The research project is divided into three modules. In Module 1, a research dataset based on administrative data will be compiled, which will enable a detailed descriptive analysis of the relationship between the need for care, the care setting and health. The dataset also forms the basis for Modules 2 and 3. Module 2 examines the causal effects of the care allowance on various health outcomes for people in need of care, such as the use of medical services. Module 3 analyses the causal effects of key benefits in kind provided by the care system on the health of persons in need of care, as well as the effects of the newly introduced community nurses.
