
Manuel Zerobin, MSc
Manuel Zerobin has been working as an economist in the Research Group "Labour Economics, Income and Social Security" at WIFO since October 2024. His research focuses on health economics, particularly long-term care and new care models (e.g., Community Nurses), as well as the econometric analyses associated with them. Additionally, he investigates the relationship between crime and unemployment. Manuel Zerobin holds a Master's degree in Economics with a mathematical focus from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems from the same university, which he partly completed at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa in Lisbon. Before joining WIFO, Manuel worked as a professional skipper and sailing instructor, reflecting his passion for adventure and exploration. He also engaged as a consultant in market analyses and smaller projects at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, thereby enhancing his skills in market research and data analysis.
