Absence from Work Report 2025. Absences Due to Sickness and Accidents in Austria. Development of Diseases of the Musculoskeletal System

The Absenteeism Report provides an overview of the health-related absences of employed persons in Austria. In addition to a detailed analysis of the sickness absence data from the social insurance institutions for 2025, the report contains in-depth analyses of patterns and long-term trends in sickness absence. In addition to the differences in sickness absence between employee groups, economic sectors and federal provinces, absences are also discussed according to the most important ICD-10 disease groups. In addition, the absences due to diseases of the musculoskeletal system are analysed in more detail.
