"Die Presse": Commentary by WIFO Director Christoph Badelt
In his guest commentary in the daily newspaper "Die Presse" of 30 October 2019, WIFO Director Christoph Badelt addresses the topic of child poverty in Austria. Medium-term and sustainable poverty reduction must aim at the living conditions of children.
The fight against "increased child poverty" plays an important role in the political discussion and probably also in the current coalition talks. However, there is hardly any other topic where figures can lead to so much misinterpretation as poverty.
