Assessment of Liquidity and Insolvency Risks among Companies
Medium-term Forecast of Bankruptcy Employee Protection Insurance Events in Austria until 2025
After a reduction in the number of bankruptcy employee protection insurance cases and payments in 2020-21 as a result of the government's COVID-19 support measures for companies, the average take-up of employee insolvency insurance is expected to increase again over the forecast period. In addition to a medium-term model, where macroeconomic development and structural factors determine the forecast path, a short-run microsimulation model is used to estimate liquidity risks and insolvency exposure of Austrian companies.
