Economic Assessments Largely Unchanged

Economic sentiment improved slightly in October in all sectors except retail trade, although scepticism remained prevalent in manufacturing. Business uncertainty rose quarter-on-quarter and remained high in manufacturing and construction, while capacity utilisation improved in these sectors. "Lack of demand" was again the most frequently cited obstacle to business activity in all sectors of the economy in October.
