Economic Assessments Improve Slightly
Results of the WIFO-Konjunkturtest (Business Cycle Survey) of October 2025
The results of the WIFO-Konjunkturtest (business cycle survey) show a slight improvement in the economic assessments of Austrian companies in October. The WIFO Business Climate Index stood at –1.5 points (seasonally adjusted), 1.2 points above the September figure. Assessments of the current situation and economic expectations improved slightly. Differences across sectors remain: in construction and services, the indices are in positive territory, while the industrial economy remains subdued despite improvements.
