Der Einsatz neuer digitaler Technologien hat potentiell Einfluss auf die Effizienz wie auch auf die Effektivität von Produktionsprozessen
und ist damit zu einem wichtigen Faktor im weltweiten Wettbewerb geworden. Ziel des Projektes ist die Entwicklung eines in
regelmäßigen Abständen erscheinenden Index ("Digitalisierungsradar"), der ein möglichst umfassendes und aktuelles Bild der
digitalen Wettbewerbsfähigkeit österreichischer Unternehmen im Vergleich mit anderen EU-Ländern zeichnet. Dabei wird ein aus
verschiedenen Teilindikatoren bestehender Gesamtindex entwickelt. Diese Teilindikatoren erlauben zum einen den internationalen
Vergleich unterschiedlicher Aspekte der Digitalisierung und bilden zum anderen die zeitliche Entwicklung dieser Teilaspekte
in Österreich ab.

Digitisation Radar
The use of new digital technologies potentially affects the efficiency and effectiveness of production processes and, thus,
is an important factor in global competition. The aim of the project is to develop an index ("Digitalisation Radar"), that
can be easily updated at regular intervals, providing a comprehensive and up-to-date picture of the digital competitiveness
of Austrian companies compared to other EU member countries. This overall index consists of various sub-indicators. On the
one hand, these sub-indicators allow an international comparison of different aspects of digitalisation with Austria and,
on the other hand, reflect the development of these sub-indicators in Austria over time.
