Regional Economy, Accessibility, Transport: Three Contributions to the Sixth Danube Crossing
This is the summary of three independent studies dealing with the sixth Danube crossing in the east of Vienna from different perspectives – from the point of view of regional economic development, accessibility as well as transport and logistics. Despite different approaches, the results underline the potentially positive effects of a new Danube crossing, but also emphasise the importance of a coordinated strategy in order to leverage this potential – the inter-regional coordination between Vienna and Lower Austria, but also the inter-modal coordination between public transport and higher-ranking road system.
