Profitability of Austrian Manufacturing Declining in 2024
In 2023, the annual cash-flow-turnover ratio in Austrian manufacturing was 8.6 percent, below the long-term average of 9.4 percent. According to WIFO econometric estimates, it fell to 7.5 percent in 2024. This reflects the persistent economic downturn. Preliminary estimates for 2025 point to a stabilisation or slight improvement in profitability.
