Economic effects of Social Partnership in Austria with a Special Focus on the Austrian Chamber of Commerce

The effects of social partnership structures are analysed from various perspectives in this study. The country comparison shows that countries with coordinated wage negotiation systems have a high level of employment and lower wage inequality. With regard to domestic export companies, the foreign trade centres (AC) of the Chamber of Commerce have a clearly positive impact on their foreign activities. In addition, the economic chambers offer centralised structures through their activities in the area of training and further education, which generate further positive effects.
