Continuing Downturn in Industry and Construction in all Federal Provinces

The weak phase of the Austrian economy continues in 2024, with industry and construction particularly affected. The development of the labour market in the first quarter of 2024 differs from region to region: while Tyrol, Salzburg and Vienna still record significant employment growth, employment in the other federal provinces hardly changes or even declines.
