Policy Brief: A Comprehensive Understanding of the Energy Sytem – The Energetic Value Chain: From Energy Relevant Functionalities to Primary Energy
Austria is currently preparing an integrated energy and climate strategy. We argue that basic elements of the energy system are not sufficiently considered for obtaining a viable transformation perspective. We emphasise that focussing on energy services like thermal, mechanical or specific electric, is a key for a better understanding how we use energy.
