It presents new empirical evidence on the impact of ICT and e-commerce indicators on the skill intensity measured as the share of workers with a university degree. Finally it investigates whether and to what extent ICT and e-commerce activities are enablers of innovation activities. The analysis is based on micro-aggregated data on firms drawn from the production, ICT and CIS survey. The report serves as background material for the IPTS research programme "Drivers and Barriers of ICT".
