Circular Jobs for Vienna. An Activity-based Analysis of Circular Economy Transformation Processes in the Viennese Labour Market

Vienna is internationally recognised as a model city owing to its high quality of life. In order to sustainably preserve this quality of life in the face of the increasingly tangible consequences of climate change, strategic and effective measures for both climate protection and climate adaptation are required. Against this background, the present research project focuses on identifying those sectors, occupations and professional fields in which the impacts of the circular economy transformation on the workforce are to be expected, with the aim of deriving actionable perspectives for securing skilled labour as well as for qualification measures and funding instruments for Vienna.
