Evaluation ESF+ Just Transition Fund 2021-2027

The European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) is the European Union's principal funding instrument for social equity and employment. It supports individuals in improving their prospects in the labour market, promotes initial and continuing education and training, strengthens social inclusion, and contributes to reducing poverty and disadvantage. At the same time, the ESF+ provides impetus for innovation and digitalisation with a view to fostering a more equitable and sustainable society across Europe. The evaluation will examine both the overall programme and its seven priority axes, with a focus on themes such as gender equality, poverty reduction, social innovation, and the Just Transition Fund. Particular emphasis is also placed on the analysis of horizontal objectives – gender equality, non-discrimination, and environmental sustainability – as well as on developments in the transition region of Burgenland.
