Public Shareholdings in Companies: International Experiences and Their Significance for Austria

The project examines international experiences in the area of public enterprise shareholdings, as well as their relevance and potential implications for Austrian industrial and competitiveness policy. Starting with a comprehensive assessment of recent literature, it brings together a group of experts from business and research for a workshop dedicated to identifying and discussing relevant best practices. Through systematic comparison with leading international models, options for the strategic development of public shareholdings will be derived in the context of the Austrian framework conditions.
