Austria is Growing More Slowly than the Average of the Euro Countries. Update of the Medium-term Forecast 2024 to 2028
The Austrian economy is gradually recovering from the recession in 2023 (0.8 percent) and stagnation in 2024. For 2025, WIFO expects economic growth of 1½ percent. This is driven by the recovery of the international economy and private domestic consumption. For 2024-2028, WIFO estimates average annual GDP growth in Austria of 1 percent (Ø 2010-2019 +1.5 percent p.a.) and trend growth of ¾ percent per year.
