Workshop Sustainability, Work and Growth

Call for Papers – Submission Deadline extended to 5 February 2021
On 5 March 2021 WIFO invites to a workshop on SDG8 "decent work and economic growth" as a part of the Research Platform Sustainability and Inclusiveness. Working Papers on all topics related to SDG8 can be submitted until 5 February 2021.

Papers addressing the following research questions are particularly welcome:

  • What alternative sub-targets or indicators would be needed to measure progress towards SDG8 in a broader sense?
  • Do the sub-targets related to SDG8 adequately reflect today's grand challenges (like the climate crisis) and mega-trends (like digitalisation)?
  • What gender-sensitive indicators and methods can be developed?
  • What are suitable methods to measure the progress towards the sustainable development objective of SDG8?
  • What are trade-offs and synergies between SDG8 and other SDGs and how could trade-offs be overcome?
  • What are the implications of the COVID-19 crisis for SDG8 in general, and in particular for full employment?

Further Information can be found here.
