Degraded natural wealth is not just an environmental problem; it is also an economic liability.
Yet, several countries have demonstrated that achieving economic growth without harming the environment is possible; a cleaner economy can also create more jobs – a vital objective for industrialised, emerging, and developing countries alike. Against a backdrop of accelerating biodiversity loss, climate change, and faltering international cooperation to address these challenges, can national interests drive strong, sustainable economic growth in line with global environmental objectives? What role can data science, new technologies, and innovative forms of cooperation play in scaling up environmental solutions and strengthening policies?
Please be aware that this seminar will be recorded and published digitally.
