The Austrian Journal of Agricultural and Rural Studies is the journal of the Austrian Society of Agricultural Economics (Österreichische Gesellschaft für Agrarökonomie – ÖGA). The journal provides a publication opportunity for research papers on economic and sociological issues of the agricultural sector and rural areas, highlighting the variety of positions in research and schools of thought. The journal gives an overview of the current state of research, particularly in German-speaking countries and Central Europe, in the areas Agricultural Economics, Regional and Environmental Economics, Resource Economics, Rural and Regional Research, Agricultural Marketing, Agrarian Sociology, Rural Sociology, Agricultural History and Agro-Food Studies. The Austrian Journal of Agricultural Economics and Rural Studies publishes original contributions in German and English. Both, papers from basic research as well as from applied sciences are welcome.
