Profitability in Austria's Manufacturing Sector Declined Slightly in 2025

In 2024, the cash-flow-to-sales ratio in the Austrian manufacturing sector stood at 8.4 percent, below the long-term (revenue-weighted) average of 9.2 percent. In 2025, according to econometric estimates by WIFO, it fell slightly to 8 percent. The decline reflects the weak economic momentum. For 2026, preliminary estimates suggest that profitability will stabilise at a level below the long-term average.
