Evaluation Services for Compulsory Education Up to the Age of 18

The aim of the project is to analyse, in a differentiated manner, the effects of the Compulsory Education Act (APflG) and the "Education until 18" initiative (AB 18) – which are hereinafter collectively referred to as "Compulsory Education until 18" – and to assess their effectiveness in preventing early school leaving and promoting the sustainable integration of young persons into education and the labour market. The research approach combines micro-econometric analyses and qualitative surveys. This comprehensive perspective on the challenges and opportunities presented by compulsory education enables the identification of policy options to better tailor training provision to the target group.
