Potential Regional Impact due to Various Transition Scenarios

The aim of the project is to estimate the potential regional impact in terms of employment and value added at the level of NACE 2-digit industries in the Austrian districts. The starting point is the transition scenarios at national level of the Federal Environment Agency as well as various potential scenarios that may occur in the context of the transition to climate neutrality. The analysis of these potential regional impacts should make it possible to identify any regional and sectoral bottlenecks or discrepancies between supply and demand that may arise as a result of the expected changes in the transition process. This should also make it possible to identify the need for measures in good time, e.g. for training or retraining offensives.
