Regional Economic Development. 3rd Quarter 2016
Economic growth accelerated in the third quarter of 2016. This boost was mainly attributable to both an increase in domestic demand as well as a stabilised economic development abroad. Albeit the results on a regional level appeared to be very heterogeneous, a west-south-east divide in growth was still visible. The marked rise in the tourism sector came from rural tourism.
