Impact assessment for for the development of the Austrian energy and climate strategy

The project aims at supporting the development of an integrated energy and climate strategy for Austria using an innovative method for analysing the energy system: The internal structure of the energy system is analysed, from functionalities to end energy and primary energy. The internal structure distinguishes between the physical, the economic and the institutional layer. The project should deliver a coherent illustration of the energy system according to the three layers, and an appraisal of the range of potential transformation pathways in view of achievable energy and emission intensities.
