Economic Effects of the Go-International Internationalisation Initiative

The project presents a comprehensive evaluation of Austria's internationalisation initiative "go-international". The aim is to deliver a data-driven analysis of the macroeconomic effects and the programme design of the initiative through four modules: assessment of the measures mix and sectoral focus, a survey to capture the user perspective, econometric analysis of firm-level effects, simulations of the economy-wide impacts, and final policy recommendations. The work draws on extensive microdata from the Austrian Micro Data Center (AMDC), Austrian Economic Chamber grant data, a digital survey, and the dynamic ADAGIO input-output model to evaluate the initiative's objectives, programme presentation, export impacts, sustainability considerations, and economy-wide effects in an evidence-based manner while identifying opportunities for improvements.
