WIFO-Weißbuch: Exporte als Wachstumsmotor. Maßnahmen zur weiteren Belebung der Ausfuhr (WIFO White Paper: Exports as a Growth Driver. Measures for Further Export Stimulation)

WIFO White Paper: Exports as a Growth Driver. Measures for Further Export Stimulation
In recent years, exports have become a driver of economic growth in Austria and contributed essentially to the creation of
employment. Austria was able to conquer increasing market shares at the international level and succeeded in improving its
trade balance. Contrary to public fears, the integration of the Central and Eastern European countries into the European Union
turned out to be extremely stimulating. Thus, internationalisation has produced a positive overall result for Austria.
