Alexandros Charos has been a survey expert at WIFO since 2015. He completed his master's degree of sociology at the Johannes
Kepler University Linz. His focus comprises survey methods, survey design and survey management of business surveys and surveys
on individual level. Alexandros Charos has supported the survey process of various national and international research projects
from the application stage to the final report. He coordinates the Business Cycle and Enterprise Surveys division conducting
the monthly WIFO-Konjunkturtest (business cycle survey), which has been part of the "Joint Harmonised EU Programme of Business
and Consumer Surveys" since 1996. Alexandros Charos was significantly involved in the survey of the largest Austrian industrial
companies on their market strategies, their embedding in international value chains and on location policy. He also participated
in a survey on the scope of medical services for the Vienna Medical Association. He has a leading role in conducting the annual
business survey for Austria, the results of which are included in the publications by the World Economic Forum (WEF) (i.e.
The Global Risks Report and the Gender Gap Report).
